About me
Samantha Zane is from Southern California and grew up in Loma Linda, California. She attended Loma Linda Academy, graduating in 2022. She started dancing at the age of four at the School of International Ballet in Redlands, studying under Cecilia Herring, Jennifer Schmidt, and Barbara Crafts. She received additional training through intensive programs with Boston Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, Ellison, and Ballet RI. After graduating from high school and dancing with SIB for sixteen years she continued to study dance in college. She completed her first year at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. However, after suffering a foot fracture in February of 2023 she decided to take a gap year to recover, strengthen and retrain at Westside School Of Ballet. Samantha’s previous experience includes dancing in The Nutcracker with Inland Dance Theater for five seasons, also performing in productions of The Match Girl, Don Quixote, and Cinderella with Redlands Festival Ballet. She has danced roles such as Clara, Mirlitons, Spanish Soloist, Mechanical Doll, Snow & Waltz Corp, Owl, Village Girl, and a Puppet. Just recently she performed as a Snowflake, Lead Mirliton, and Spanish Corp in Westside’s 50th Anniversary of The Nutcracker and also a Page in the LABallet's production of The Nutcracker. When Ms. Zane is not dancing, she loves crafting, playing with her dogs, and going to Disneyland and Broadway shows. Future goals include dancing with a professional ballet company such as American Ballet Theater, Orlando Ballet, or Opéra National De Paris. She also hopes to dance on Broadway and would love to work as a Disneyland Parade performer someday.
